Linjett 34

Small becomes large

Linjett 34

Developed for the unique conditions of the Swedish archipelago, the Linjett 34 is designed and built by people with extensive sailing experience and knowledge. Over the years, it has become one of Linjett’s most popular models. Due to its large sail area, this yacht delivers an impressive performance, yet it is stable and well-balanced in heavy weather. Well-thought-out solutions make the Linjett 34 easy to sail shorthanded, whether you choose the tiller or wheel.

"Fastest, stiffest and most durable. The best deck layout and multiple neat solutions everywhere on board. No working hours have been saved and only the best equipment is used. Linjett 34 is classic and the best. The yacht impresses."

A Clever Cockpit

Effortless Control

The cockpit of the Linjett 34 is smartly designed, with all control lines and instruments within easy reach. The yacht comes standard with a tiller, with the option to choose a wheel. The ergonomically shaped helm position ensures great comfort on longer passages, whether steering with the tiller or wheel. All seating areas are raised above the deck, allowing water to drain freely beneath. The self-tacking jib system is standard, enabling effortless single-handed tacking directly from the helm.

The Linjett 34 blends slender, classic lines with modern performance and thoughtful deck solutions. A generous sail area combined with a slightly wider hull shape in the aft provides both speed and stability. Its narrow waterline keeps the yacht responsive and agile, even in light winds. A modern L-bulb keel and large rudder deliver excellent control under sail and when manoeuvring in tight harbours.

All control lines are neatly led below deck to two cockpit winches positioned by the helmsman, creating a clean and safe deck layout. The cockpit is also designed to offer protection for those not actively sailing, to be a secure and comfortable space to relax while under way. In addition, the area beneath the generously sized sprayhood remains completely free of lines.

"A modern classic that is perfectly balanced."

Interior

Classic Interior Design

Linjett's Cosiest Saloon

Designed for enjoyable archipelago sailing without compromising comfort, the Linjett 34 reflects the longstanding heritage of Linjett craftsmanship. Thoughtful storage solutions, rounded corners for safety at sea, and a bright, airy saloon are features that highlight an interior created by experienced boatbuilders, who understand the demands of sailing in all conditions. The saloon is defined by classic rounded coaches and buttoned cushions, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The Linjett 34 features two generous double cabins, one forward and one aft. The forward bed offers dimensions of 210 × 170 cm, while the aft cabin bed measures 200 × 160 cm. Both cabins provide full standing headroom and slatted bed bases for enhanced sleeping comfort.

The Linjett 34 comes standard with an onboard heater, including a heated wet gear locker accessible from both the starboard cockpit locker and the heads compartment. For additional drying space, an extra locker with a dedicated heater outlet is located adjacent to the electric toilet.

Rigs & Sails

Fun and Manageable Sailing

The Linjett 34 carries a generous sail area relative to its size, enabling it to find speed even in lighter winds. From the outset, the rig and sail plan were designed with one clear objective: to create a yacht that is both safe and a true pleasure to sail. The 9/10 Selden rig, combined with double swept spreaders, provides a highly stable configuration and eliminates the structural need for a backstay. A flexible sail wardrobe allows the yacht to adapt effortlessly to varying conditions and crew preferences.

In addition to the self-tacking jib, the sail plan can be complemented by a 107% furling jib. This sail can be furled into a dedicated self-tacking configuration without compromising its shape.

With the traveller positioned on the coachroof and sheets led aft to the helmsman, the Linjett 34 can be sailed confidently and efficiently shorthanded. A tiller comes standard, with the option of a wheel, allowing the yacht to be tailored to individual preference.

"You can sense that the people who build the yachts are also sailors. The solutions are 'close to the sailor' and feel practiced and natural"

Andreas, Lira Lei L34 N.26

Structural Qualities in the Construction

Sail Confidently

The Linjett 34 combines classic and modern designs to create a yacht that is easy to handle and rewarding to sail. A wider hull and a narrow waterline create an efficient, balanced platform fully supported by the generous sail area.

A strong keelson runs through the centre of the hull, strengthening the structure while guiding the bilge water to the lowest point. The L-shaped lead keel with a bulb provides stability and a strong righting moment, giving the Linjett 34 a secure and balanced feel.

The vacuum infused, lightweight composite hull with a Divinycell sandwich core, supported with solid beams and laminated bulkheads, provides a stiff and strong construction. A reinforced keel pocket increases the overall rigidity, and together with the beam construction, it provides solid support for the rig when tightened in demanding conditions.

Nominated for Sailboat of the Year 2012 in Sweden

"Extreme in terms of build quality, finish, equipment, features and sailing characteristics is Rosättra's latest yacht, the Linjett 34. As the yard’s hallmark, the boat has a fairly traditional style, which is to make it the perfect fit for a family sailing in the archipelago. At the same time, the handicap of SRS 1,25 tells us there is speed in the yacht and potential for great racing results."
