A Linjett adventure should feel both safe and exciting, that was the guiding principle when the Linjett Design Team created the tenth model from Linjett Yachts – the Linjett 36. The result is a well-balanced yacht that naturally combines sailing performance with comfort. The Linjett 36 is built for stability and confidence in all conditions, whether you’re sailing offshore or in the archipelago. Thoughtful design solutions make the yacht easy to sail single-handed, while offering generous space and comfort for everyone on board.
This is a sleek, yet remarkably comfortable yacht, created for ultimate sailing joy. The fixed bowsprit, which can be equipped with an electric furler, makes downwind sailing with a furling code or gennaker effortless and enjoyable.
"With the Linjett 36, we’ve focused on combining performance and comfort in a compact, easy-to-handle format. The silhouette is new, yet the heritage remains, we believe we’ve captured Linjett’s signature feeling and design language in a fresh and elegant way."
Stefan Gylleby, Project Manager at Linjett Yachts
The cockpit of the Linjett 36 is spacious, smartly designed with dual helms and all control lines and instruments easily within reach. The helm positions are ergonomically shaped for comfort, whether seated behind or beside the wheel, even on longer passages. The helmsman’s position is raised, providing clear visibility over the sprayhood.
All control lines are neatly led under the deck to the winches by the helm pedestals. As with all Linjett yachts, the self-tacking jib system comes as standard, allowing single-handed tacking directly from the helm.
The cockpit has been carefully designed to provide shelter for those not actively sailing. Under the generously sized sprayhood, the area is completely free of lines for a safe, comfortable space to relax under way. The removable cockpit table can be set up quickly when needed and stows neatly in its dedicated locker in the starboard aft compartment when not in use.
A new feature for this model is the fixed bowsprit, read more about it below.
Many sailors have expressed a wish for a yacht that combines the comfort and equipment level of a larger yacht with the agility of a smaller one. The Linjett 36 is the perfect choice for those who appreciate the Linjett 39, but prefer a more compact alternative.
The Linjett 36 offers five generous storage compartments:
• Foredeck locker: Spacious enough for six fenders, downwind sails, anchor chain, and the dedicated space for the bow ladder.
• Two deep, aft lockers: Located beneath the helmsman’s seats. The starboard locker includes a hanging bar for ropes and is heated by the onboard heater to be used as a drying cabinet. The port locker provides ample room, even when fitted with Linjett’s custom-designed stern anchor system.
• Cockpit floor locker: A smaller locker located between the helmsman’s seats.
• Starboard bench locker: A large traditional cockpit locker with generous space and access to the foul-weather gear wardrobe, also heated by the heater and functioning as a drying cabinet.
The Linjett 36 is the first model in the Linjett range to feature a fixed bowsprit, a design element that the Linjett Design Team has spent hours perfecting to ensure both safety and ease of use. The goal was to make sailing with Code and gennaker sails more accessible for cruising sailors, while preserving the functionality and versatility needed for archipelago sailing. With the new setup, hoisting a Code-0 when the breeze lightens becomes a natural choice, instead of starting the engine.
The bowsprit is fully compatible with an integrated electric Code furler from Seldén, allowing all downwind and light-wind furling sails to be rolled in or out at the touch of a button. Sails can be hoisted directly from the bow locker, making setup and stowage quick and effortless.
For easy boarding, the Linjett Design Team has developed a custom-designed folding ladder, which can be quickly mounted and neatly stowed in its dedicated space within the anchor locker. The bowsprit also supports a bow anchor system with windlass. The anchor chain runs seamlessly through the bowsprit to the chain locker. When retracted, the anchor rests securely in the bowsprit, visible for inspection and ready for deployment.
The Linjett 36 features two spacious cabins and a thoughtfully designed interior where every area is functionable. The L-shaped galley is designed for real cooking, even at sea, making meal preparation practical. The heads is generously sized, with a separate shower enclosed by a glass door. Behind the toilet, you can access the heated drying cabinet for foul-weather gear. The forward cabin offers a V-berth with easy access to generous storage. An infill board can be added to create a double berth. The aft cabin provides a 165 cm wide berth and abundant storage in the form of overhead lockers, wardrobes, and drawers.
The sole is level throughout the boat, creating a spacious, open feeling without thresholds. All doorframes and large cabinets have softly rounded corners, which not only strengthens the structure but also reduces the risk of wood warping and helps preserve the finish. At the same time, this design choice gives the interior a warm and timeless character.
As standard, the Linjett 36 is built in mahogany, with light-pigmented oak available as an option.
Instead of maximizing the number of berths, we chose to provide generous space for interior functionality and ample storage. The Linjett 36 has dedicated compartments for optional equipment, allowing owners to personalize their yacht and create a well-equipped boat in a more compact format.
The Linjett 36 carries the same sailing DNA as all Linjett yachts: smooth, safe, and easy to handle. Equipped with a 9/10 aluminum rig from Seldén and a fixed bowsprit for effortless downwind and light-wind sailing, it also offers thoughtfully designed sail-trimming functions.
The rig and sails are sized to provide safe and confident sailing even in challenging weather with a small crew. A good mast profile and well-balanced rig give a responsive, connected feel at the helm, creating stability and confidence in all conditions.
The Linjett 36 handles beautifully when the wind picks up. She is built for big waters and big experiences. It is a powerful yacht for her size, where everyone on board feels safe and secure.
The Linjett 36 features a hull with a narrow waterline that broadens toward the deck, creating a lightly driven, stiff, and well-balanced yacht. The underwater hull has been carefully shaped to maintain symmetry and trim even when heeled, ensuring predictable handling. This makes the boat ideal for a single rudder, which also improves maneuverability in marinas compared to twin-rudder designs. For additional control, the Linjett 36 can be equipped with a bow thruster.
The hull is constructed using fiberglass sandwich with vacuum-injected vinylester resin and Divinycell core. The deck is hand-laid with multiaxial fiberglass to ensure a perfect finish, while structural beams are built from robust, homogeneous fiberglass laminate. Bulkheads and beams are glued into the deck and hull for long-term durability.
The Linjett 36 features a strong keel structure with a deep, true keelson that centralizes bilge water. The lead keel is L-shaped with a bulb, providing stability and excellent righting moment.
A Linjett is always built to last, with carefully designed systems and installations that can withstand strong winds and rough seas.
